Mariana Waismann is a Brazilian artist inspired by traditional fine craft techniques. Growing up in Rio de Janeiro surrounded by musicians and artists provided her with a multi-layered universe of music, culture and sources of ideas. Feeling the need to explore other cultures, she has studied and worked in Sao Paulo, London and Paris where she resides since 2009.

Mariana has continued her journey developing a multi-disciplinary approach in fashion, decoration and plastic arts, commencing from drawings or digital images, transforming them on prints or transporting them to different artistic techniques, textures and materials. Inspired by architecture and her current surroundings, she explores the world of volumes, lines, rhythms, perspectives as well their ruptures and contrasts.
